Not just MS Word, problem is in Excel and PowerPoint (embedded objects). We had
someone give us a briefing on all this a year ago. Still no tool to clean
Metadata in Excel or PowerPoint.

Microsoft Word has a feature called "fast saves"
If you have the option "allow fast saves" checked, then Word writes the
original file and deltas until the file reaches a certain size. In this
case, undo information is saved.
If you uncheck the option "allow fast saves," so that fast saves are
not allowed, then undo information is not saved.
