Subject: Deploying Office XP SP3 using SMS Feature Pack
Has anyone had any experience deploying Office XP SP3 using the SMS Feature
Pack?
We are using a patched administrative point, therefore can't install the
client version (OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-client-enu.exe, 16MB) of Office XP SP3.
See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=837826
We would like to deploy the full file version
(OfficeXpSp3-kb832671-fullfile-enu.exe, 59MB) to our clients, however the
office patch scanning engine reports that no patches are available. i.e. its
detecting that the client install must be applied, however can't because the
admin point is patched.
Has anyone successfully got the full file patch to work using the Distribute
Software Updates wizard in SMS? Any comments would be great!
Matt
