I'd love to see a stat/chart about the rate at which patch release has
increased over the last few, even ten, years. Understandably, software has
gotten more complex and there are more lines of code - more bugs, white hats
beating the stuff up to get their 15 minutes, etc., so it would be
interesting to look at raw numbers as well as a relative perspective. Does
anyone know if Gartner, et. al. has anything like this?
