This mail might be a little late in coming, but the fact that you have
Office installed using an administrative point simplifies the entire P/SP/SR
processes.
All you need to do is send a "Recache and Refresh Instruction" to the
Windows Installer on each of the client machines. The Windows Installer will
then take over and update the installed instance of office.
If you deployed the Office to the client using SMS initially using the SMS
PDFs for Office you should already have the "Program Definitions", then you
just have to schedule an advertisement to the clients.
