I don't have very much sympathy for Microsoft on this issue, as
they've ignored basic modular design that everyone else seems happy
enough with, and ended up with more work for themselves. For example I
doubt if ISC need to regression test BIND in 400 different scenarios
and that's arguably a lot more complex than a web browser, and runs on
many more types of system than IE.
But it's that time of the month again, so maybe I'm just bitter.
