First to be fair, I have done work for GFI in the past and provide support on their online forums. With that in the open I would recommend checking out GFI's Languard Network Security Scanner 5 (just released).

I use/have used quite a few different products though where I work at a university as a MS Engineer. We use SUS, SMS 2003, ZEN Works (to push products), LNSS and have tried a few others, but I normally go back to using LNSS to verify what patches are out there and with custom alerts what software is installed.

Anyway, in the forums we have seen quite a few people who have pushed out custom patches for their Antivirus products to do full new installs, updated their AV defs, etc. So the ability to deploy other products is there in LNSS. Basically if the product you want to install can be installed in a 'silent' fashion then it can normally be pushed as a custom patch and installed.

To verify some of the other products you mention there you would have to create custom alerts (either scanning registry values or file version). Depending on the product you need to verify creating that alert may be quite easy or could be a bit time consuming, but so far every product I've tried to set it up for I've been able to. So I know it is possible.

Good luck on your hunt for the perfect product for your environment.

Eric
