Moderately critical

SOFTWARE:
ISO Plugin for Total Commander 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/13089/

DESCRIPTION:
Tan Chew Keong has reported a vulnerability in ISO Plugin for Total
Commander, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
ISO files containing long pathnames. This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted ISO file
containing a file within several nested directories.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions 1.6.10 and 1.7.3.3 (1.7.3
Beta 3). Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted ISO files.

The vendor is reportedly working on a fix.
