Women giving birth aren't (most of the time) "sick" either, but they get
plenty of attention from the NHS.
Lack of fertility is a medical disorder and a potential trigger for mental
health problems. Those people I've known who have had treatment have paid huge
sums of money. But there are moves to make it more accessible, a scheme that's
clearly controversial:
