NHS walk-in centres are very limited, slow and expensive compared to GPs. We
should put up our prices, do less and slower since this clearly gives more
satisfaction<g>
The one in question was apparently commissioned with dealing with all
out-of-hours and out-of-area patients in the city (GPs having opted
out).
Current ideas are that if this is a repeat, then she should be able to obtain
them from any Pharmacy.
She had "Lost" her drugs (left them at home 100 miles away) and needed
urgent replacements.
If it is very new - the situation under discussion - then she would be best
served by repeating the process of diagnosis and prescription that lead to
her having them.
They didn't have any doctors on the premises until "after hours", this
was mid-morning. Would a diagnosis have worked well, without her notes
100 miles away (getting hold of them in a minor emergency was the
situation I was raising)?
