I'd say remote control accessible from the internet without source IP filtering is generally a bad idea regardless of the implementation.  Anyone could just sit and bang away at a login prompt.  Now, hopefully you are using strong password policies, etc to mitigate the risk but it still doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing anyone could just keep trying till they get bored or succeed.

respectively.

one
